Nowadays, USB drives are almost indispensable because they can store a lot of information which you can share with anyone you want. As the USB drives tend to become an accessory and many people try to create a cool and unique design for them, some of them are just weird. But we kinda like it because we have to get our daily dose of laughs.

#10. Bonanza

There are many people in this world who like to eat bananas as they are very tasty and a source of vitamins. Therefore, you wouldn’t expect the fruit to be plugged-in a computer, but here it is: the Bonanza! USB drive. The users of the…

As we saw more and more devices that use solar power being launched, we could easily anticipate that it wasn’t going to be long until the free energy resource was to be enhanced in the cellphone industry. This concept phone designed by Eddie Goh spares you a few bucks from the electricity bill, as it self charges whenever exposed to sun light.

Modern technology left its mark all over the Eclipse Intuit Phone, as it has photo editing and uploading software, a giant touchscreen to go with the photo feature, and a 5 megapixel camera. The touch keyboard with tactile feedback completes the design of the device that uses a chemically…

Only speculations and opinions of the Thunder Blackberry were appearing until now, but today we got our hands on a live snapshot of the device. The first thing coming to our attention after seeing it is the multitude of buttons that the manufacturers made available.

The buttons, including dual convenience keys, back, send, menu, end, volume, lock, and play / pause are meant to facilitate the user’s navigation, and this model makes no exception from BlackBerry’s tendency to simplicity. This simplicity will have to fight the keyboarded-3G iPhone’s complexity and options.

The Talking CPR Flashlight does exactly just that: at the push of a button, you’ll hear a clear female voice giving you CPR instructions. It comes in a very compact design that uses LEDs powered by AAA batteries, so that it can be held easily and doesn’t interfere with the CPR procedure.

The device has a length of 4 inches and has a button for playing the CPR guide as well as a ‘Pause’ key. The LED light makes it very handy in illuminating the emergency situation, and the flashlight can be bought for $36. I doubt they’ll put it for sale in pharmacies, though.

As solar power is harnessed with the help of tiny solar cells, it seems like wind power could be harvested using nano-scaled wind turbines. A Mexican designer named Agusting Otegui has came up with the Nano Vent-Skin which is a state of the art green wall.

This concept wall consists of “different kinds of micro organisms that work together to absorb and transform natural energy from the environment”. It seems like these bio-engineered organisms can convert sunlight and wind power into renewable energy and they can absorb CO2 from the air.

The Nano Vent-Skin transforms the light coming from the sun using an organic photovoltaic layer then it sends the energy to…

This Rolleiflex AF 5.0 digicam brings back some memories, doesn’t it? It looks just like its old predecessor, but modern technology turns it into something a bit more classy. The high precision replica of the world famous Rolleiflex is only half the size of the original, and has a functioning hand crank.

What does however separates them is a 5 megapixel sensor, a miniSD slot and an LCD screen. The camera is to be released this month, and the price varies for the two colors it will come in. For the black version you’ll have to take around $460 out of your pocket, and the red one will cost $46 more.

This may seem quite unreal, but looks like the future AMD triple and quad-core Phenom processors will have a set of hidden pins that would enable slight modifications in the core’s performance when put together with specific chipsets.

The information popped up when a 2.8GHz Black Edition CPU was mounted on a SB700 motherboard, and began working at 3GHz. More than that, when paired with a SB750 board, it was performing at 3.2GHz. This would be something new, as no previous CPU had different processing power on different motherboards.

Anthony Sims, a student from the Art Center College of Design, created a concept of what could be the next vehicle sent to Mars by NASA. The Moonstream Rover was inspired by nature, borrowing shapes from animals such as turtles and whales and was modeled after working NASA designs.

The interior was also taken care of, so the astronauts will be able to enjoy a cabin built for both comfort and security, with plenty of room for working activities or sleep. An independently suspended pod supports the driver, allowing him to remain still through rough riding and also spot troublesome terrain.

Sims also made a scale model of the Moonstream rover, and…

This cute teddy bear sure brings out some old memories doesn’t it? No, it’s not the new toy of Mr Bean, but something just a little more sophisticated. Teddy here is, in fact, a navigation system, that besides talking and telling you the directions, its little arms point out the way you’re supposed to follow.

Along with these features, that enable even a kid to get to the destination, it also has an alcohol detection sensor embedded in its neck, and it will argue with you if you’ll want to drive drunk, saying ‘You haven’t been drinking, have you?’. The prototype is 30cm long and was just unveiled 2 days ago.
