If you think buying a 30-inch Apple Cinema Display for $1,800 is too much for you, then you better check out this new “TV material” from Steve Jobs. The Apple iMac, which will cost $1,700, has a vertical pixel count of 1,440 and horizontal resolution of 2,560 pixels.

Speaking if pixels, you will only be giving up less than 200 vertical pixel counts if you opt to buy the iMac rather than the Cinema Display. Plus, Apple will be throwing in a free computer if you purchase the iMac.

After a long and exhausting wait, Apply has finally updated its Mac Mini with a slew of new features and power.

The new Mac Mini now has a faster processor and bigger storage space with double the amount of the first version’s memory. This entry-level Mac Mini will have a faster Intel Core 2 Duo 2.26GHz processor, 2GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, five USB 2.0 ports, FireWire 800 connectivity and the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics solution.

There’s also another especially configured version of this Mac Mini that can run the Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server. That version will have 1TB server storage with a tiny 6.5 x 2-inch enclosure.

The company I love to loathe (ever since my notebook crashed on me), Acer, has just upgraded its funky notebook called the Aspire Revo nettop. It now has a dual core Atom 330 processor, ion graphics and the new Windows 7 operating system.

Looking up at my ceiling, I see glow-in-the-dark constellations from the stickers my mom put on it three or four months ago. It’s funny that up until now, they haven’t tired yet of glowing. I used to think it will only last for about a month or so.

Finally, Asus has announced that it will officially release its entertainment-PC-in-keyboard in October for the US and European markets.

The Asus Eee Entertainment Keyboard has a 5-inch touchscreen, and uses Ultra Wideband HDMI (with receiver) to connect to your TV. Its specs include a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 16 or 32GB solid state hard disk, 802.11n Wifi connectivity, Bluetooth capability and an HDMI port.

There’s a new entertainment box from Asus. Called the Asus EeeBox EB1012, it has an Atom N330 processor, 250GB hard disk, 2GB of RAM, gigabit ethernet and 802.11 WiFi.

The Asus EeeBox EB1012 has a super compact interface, measuring only 222mm x 178mm x 26.9mm. The box also boasts of its Nvidia MCP7A Ion graphics and an HDMI output that will allow playback up to 1080p.

There’s also the 5.1 S/PDIF audio connection, built-in multi-card reader (including SDHC), plus 4 USB slots, and one single eSATA port to connect your external hard drive.
