Who else could have set a new record in the memory module world than Corsair, probably the best company in the field. Their engineers managed to overclock a 1Gb memory stick up to an incredible speed of 2462MHz, number that means the highest ever recorded frequency.

They obtained this performance by using an integrated four-layer extruded aluminum sink which had the role of cooling the bits’ temperature on a 1GB stick of Dominator DDR3 SDRAM. Martin Mueller, the company’s Senior Director of Engineering said that ‘Corsair is obsessed with pushing memory technology to its limits and beyond’, and we can figure out what he means by that just thinking about this…
