FIAT is ready to unveil the long expected FIAT Crossover concept during the Sao Paulo Motor Show. The show will be held in Brazil between 30th October and 10th November. The FIAT Bugster car concept is set to hide an electric engine underneath its hood.

The main achievement of FIAT is the use of renewable natural fibers to develop the concept, so the novel material will hopefully give the car great performance and hi-speed, attributes that the electric cars have lacked since now. The Italians kept the technical details for the Sao Paulo Motor Show, so all that remains to be said is that we hope the Bugster will some day…

Researchers from the Johns Hopkins University have designed a self-assembling electronic wire which is destined for the use inside a human body. The organic wire is water-soluble and it’s made of lightweight carbon materials and many wires like these could power pacemakers, stimulate organic function and reconnect damaged nerve tissue.

Although we will not transform ourselves in Borgs or robots, these organic wires will help paralyzed people to restore their nerve fibers thanks to the self-assembly process. These wires are 10,000 times thinner than a human hair and they have the possibility to interact with individual cells from our body, and once the nerve cells are reconnected, paralytics will regain their…

Here is something really interesting, actually I don’t really know how to call this. This is a giant skull made of old kitchen utensils which means that it’s great because it’s great, however, the problem is that it doesn’t have any practical use. I know this is art but it should “do” something, and now that the Frieze Art Fair in London is closed I don’t know what happened to the giant skull.

I will congratulate the Indian designer Subodh Gupta for creating this and I hope that next time he builds something out of recyclable materials, he should craft something usable.

Two guys from a division of Sony/BMG in London, Phil Clandillon and Steve Milbourne, created probably the most innovative music video out there. The special thing about it is that is created in Excel and everyone who has the software installed can view it.

Of course the quality is not high, but this isn’t important, but the unique way it’s created. Take a look and I guanratee you’ll say WOW!

This is one of the most interesting TV sets ever as it’s full-HD LCD TV which displays the highest-resolution of HD, 1920×1080p. I don’t know about you, but I really enjoy the widescreen aspect ratio and all my displays in the house are like this.

With a dynamic screen contrast of 29000:1, a response time of 5 ms, and brightness of 500cd/m2, the Philips 42” 1080p LCD TV is future proof as it can support the latest Blu-ray or HD console sources.

This 42-inch LCD TV developed by Phillips features 4 built-in speakers with a Dolby Digital sound system that outputs 25W RMS. Also the viewing angle of the TV stands at…

Here is the coolest house of them all! Why? Because it’s the Walking House! This house of the future was designed by Copenhagen-based art collective N55 in collaboration with engineers from Massachusetts, U.S. The designers dubbed this house as the “ultimate property” because it’s the perfect solution against floods as it will walk away from the floods.

The Walking House is based on six hydraulic legs and it’s powered by solar and wind energy. The house measures 10-feet high and it can overcome all terrains, however, like aforementioned it was designed for special situations when water level will rise too much.

Inside the Walking House you will find a living room, a…

As you already know, astronomers have the job to discover new information about the Universe and how it was formed. One of the devices that helps them is the Very Large Array radio telescope at the National Science Foundation, and thanks to it, the astronomers found out some interesting details about the early Universe.

The VLA telescope in “collaboration” with the workings of a natural cosmic lens showed a “violent assembly” of a galaxy from the early Universe. The astronomers spotted a young galaxy situated at about 12 billion light-years away from Earth, and they claim that the image of this distant galaxy occurred when the Universe was 15% of its…

Good news for solar power as the University of New South Wales ARC Photovoltaic Centre of Excellence has announced that they managed to develop a silicon solar cell which has an efficiency of 25 percent. It’s a new world record, however, the previous record was also held by the UNSW ARC Photovoltaic Centre of Excellence with an efficiency of 24.7 percent.

A team led by Professors Martin Green and Stuart Wenham revised and tweaked a little their silicon solar cell, the UNSW ARC Photovoltaic Centre of Excellence managed to achieve one of their six new world records and they say that this was possible thanks to their knowledge about sunlight.

Researchers from the McGill University have announced a breakthrough which could have implications in the development of electronic devices. They discovery consists of a quasi-three-dimensional electron crystal which could be called a new state of matter. The physicists noticed this quasi-three-dimensional electron crystal in a electronic device like which was cooled at 100 times lower temperatures than intergalactic space.

The new state of matter could lead to significantly improved electronic devices as it was found in the material used in manufacturing modern transistors. Nowadays, the number of transistors that can be integrated in computer chips is doubling every two yeas thanks to Moor’s Law, however, experts say that at a time…

A team of British engineers is trying to break land speed record with a rocket-powered car and they will not do it “just like that”, they are hoping to achieve it with style and reach 1,000 mph, or 1,600 kmph. The current land speed record of a vehicle is also held by a British team who managed to drive a car called ThrustSSC with a speed of 763 mph.

This car that is supposed to reach 1,000 mph is called the Bloodhound Super Sonic car and it will be driven by Andy Green, who also has driven the ThrustSSC.

“We have held the land speed record for the last 25 years and…
