Nokia E72 And 5530 XpressMusic Are Now Official

After a video leak of its new E72 last weekend, Nokia finally unleashed at the Connection 09 in Sinagpore its new E72—a QWERTY smartphone, which is a follow-up to the E71.

The E72 has a 5-megapixel camera along with an addition of an integrated compass, an optical navigation key and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Nokia said the new handset features a “desktop like email experience” and will begin at a price of $485 without contract.

The Nokia E72 is expected to be released on the third quarter of 2009.

On the other hand, the 5530 XpressMusic—a smaller and cheaper version of the 5800—will feature a 2.9-inch widescreen display, 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and a 4GB memory card. This GSM/EDGE handset doesn’t use 3G but can connect via the WiFi. It will also be available, like the E72, on the third quarter of this year for $275.
