Macworld suggests that Intel will soon be showing off a new eight-core Xeon processor. In San Francisco, at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference. This will be Intel’s first example of an eight-core design. The chips will utilize a 45-nanometer design and will be 16-thread processors.
This is very exciting, given that we’ve all been standing around waiting for our computers to become self-aware. This is an encouraging step towards that inevitable conclusion. Dual eight-core Xeons would be a 16-core processor! That’s even closer to consciousness. Our next girlfriends will definitely be Terminators.
