Aren’t you tired of your PC? By his ugly shape and the way that it looks? Well, this is exactly what designer Apostol Tnokovski was feeling when he decided to create the smallest PC ever made. It’s not going to be like a PDA, it’s going to be a PC with all conventional components (mouse, keyboard, normal screen).

The concept PC is called E-Ball and it’s shaped like a sphere because in Tnokovski’s opinion this is the best shape in nature and it draws everybody’s attention.

E-Ball will feature a dual core processor, 250-500GB HDD, 2GB of RAM, integrated graphic card and sound card, 2 x 50W speakers, HD-DVD recorder, wireless optical mouse and laser keyboard, LAN and WLAN card, modem, Web cam and integrated LCD projector.

Also, the E-Ball PC supports a paper holder and the paper sheet on the holder could act like a screen where you can watch movies or something. This concept PC will measure 160mm in diameter and it was designed for Microsoft Windows OS, sorry about the others. For the moment there is no word on pricing or when it’s going to be available, however, I am sure that everybody would like to see a small spherical PC like this one.

Lol, e-ball will NOT have a HD-DVD recordeder.
PPL get over the paper Shit, it’s a TYPO. Some of you are acting like you’ve never made a typo before, move on. Another great example of immature opportunists jumping at the chance to ridicule and point out another obvious typo.
Uh, nevermind the oragami feces, what about the OTHER piece of shit in this article? An HD-DVD player??!! Lolz!
nice technology, thanks for sharing.
amazing & stylish!
that shit is gay wi will never guy one. SUCK!
What about the Borg? I’m more afraid of the Borg than a Grey in a saucer.
A sphere isn’t a very good idea for an object that needs to dissipate heat. Spheres have the highest volume/surface area ratio possible (which is why bubbles are spherical) and so would have the hardest time getting rid of waste heat. Look at Apple’s really tiny Mac Mini: it’s a rectangular prism for a good reason.
Cool. Not everything needs to be a cube. But by HD-DVD did that mean the dead format?

The Ugheeg M’ktaq!
Okay c’mon you guys. You all laugh so hard at Paper shit and completely pass over all the other ridiculous points. Like first of all…
“E-Ball will feature a dual core processor, 250-500GB HDD, 2GB of RAM, integrated graphic card and sound card, 2 x 50W speakers, HD-DVD recorder, wireless optical mouse and laser keyboard, LAN and WLAN card, modem, Web cam and integrated LCD projector.”
In a 6 inch sphere. 6 inch diameter sphere. This entire concept is so detached from reality that he’s just assuming people will create specific futuristic parts just to fit in his dung-ball computer.
In fact the smallest motherboard I’ve come across is 120×120mm which would still be 169.7 from corner to corner. But i’m sure this guy with his fine grasp of technology would gladly suggest we simply chop off the corners.
Now with our 120×120mm mobo with chopped off corners, we then add the 2gb of RAM. What’s that? they only make 1gb ram for those mo-bos? Well… we just tape two of them together! yeah that’ll work.
Hmm, a HDD would be nice right about now. let’s get a nice 500gb 2.5″ drive. woo starting to get a little packed in here. what with the chopped up motherboard, the space consuming HDD, and the space taken up by stands/mouse/projectors.
Now all we need are:
-Speakers
-A deprecated DVD drive
-A webcam
-A LAN/WLAN Card
And then we’re done. Sure is a good thing this computer doesn’t need a power supply eh?
Anyways, feasibly with over a thousand dollars you could produce this ridiculously horrible product whose form serves no purpose besides ‘looking neato burrito’… or you could buy a laptop.

Not thinking I would invest in this shit. And some of you idiots actually buy it
Why not Ball-E, sounds so much better
Don’t dismiss the huge amount of money that can be made just by “looking neato burrito.”
There’s this thing called an “iPod”…
Also, the concept of this computer was stolen from this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0280674/

this is the stupidest invention ever, not pratical one bit, if you ever want to upgrade, fix, good f-in luck. So many damn movin parts too, oh woops my f%#king sheet holder just snapped! Oh look my keyboard doesn’t actually work, and i love how people always draw they’re designs up without any power, where’s ur 120 u f-ckin idiot. oh wait he drew up wireless electricity too. F-off i’ll draw my nuts and make them green and call it a computer.

I don’t see why some of you think this is so far off. Also, some of you fail to realize some of the most basic things we have today. Combine a laser keyboard with a mini PC and Pico projector and this is what you get. Heat is easily dealt with these days. You can even buy decent video cards and these days without a fan, just a heatsink. Ever heard of a mini PC? As far as MB design, it would obviously be custom so current size comparisons are irrelevant.
Hell, with some duck tape and expendable cash for the goodies, I could put together a crappy version of this right now!
Mini PC
Pico Projector
External DVD writer
Laser Keyboard Projector
Wireless Laser Mouse
You combine all that and with some custom work and some flair and BAM! Even throw in an iPhone with the extra space. The ball design would sell too. It would take up less surface space on the table. I’d like to see this in the middle of my conference table with just a small stick for a stand instead of the legs, freeing up the rest of the table for things like …well like paper shit.
And for the rest of you who apparently never worked in an office in your life, we actually have lots of paper shit. I would LOVE for this to come with a paper shit holder. I could project the increased sales right on the email the shareholders sent.
Great finding for future technology………………….
hey thats a nice computer!
i see myself going out with my little ball as a cpu and people looking at me like WT*
nice concept! though i agree it would be better to have one that fits in a breifase for a conference. or even better! a breifcase computer! the computer is implanted IN the breifcase and you let space for paper.
P.S. boring to see all those people stik on the spelling error “paper shit”. damn its not THAT important. the comments are to comment the protoipe. not the spelling
This is the future people ,what is all that laughter about the mistakes ,we are all making mistakes every day ,and nobody laugh to us , when the people will talk like people when they will see something what is meaning future?
If it goes like this …NEVER
So, be a little abstinent
why the custom OS?
couldn’t you just run some form of Linux?
Where are users supposed to keep a blank, uncreased sheet of paper?
Why is it ball shaped… seriously why?
It is a computer, looks don’t matter, its about functionality and performance. Whoever says this is the future of computing is retarded, its just another gimmick
Wow great concept. It’s great to see these ideas go through.
And Wow looks like someone put the comment page out in a kindergarten and let all the kids get around it sniggering on the typo. Wow - feels like being in a really crap kindergarten.
I agree the round shape isn’t too practical. But what the hell, the most important here is someone is pushing the envelope of PC computing and getting bigger ideas. It takes artists to think these ideas which engineers then bring to reality. Sure there are some very dodgy concepts like the round mobo etc, but hey if nobody demands that engineers stretch their imagination we would still be having dinner with a pick axe out of stone.
It’s like all the criticism that Art Lebedev gets for the keyboard he made. Sure it is totally expensive, but hell if you have ever tried using different languages you will notice the utter pain it is to always have to order keyboard or stick little labels on the keys with the accents etc.
Well done keep designing and never mind the kids out there giggling at the typo.
