I was a little bit annoyed that I bought an iPod Nano just a few short weeks before they released the version that can already play videos. So imagine how irritated I am today that I found out there’s an iPod Nano that has an integrated camcorder.
Steve Jobs has managed again to wow Apple users when he released the fifth generation iPod Nano with measurement of 3.6 x 1.5 x 0.24 inches, and has a screen display of 2.2 inches. The slightly bigger screen (fourth generation has 2 inches) will make it easier for you to watch videos in your Nano. There’s no playback, however, in 16:9 aspect ratio.
The style is similar with other Nano generations, although this one’s metallic sheen is more attractive than the previous ones. This fifth generation iPod Nano has a pedometer, voice recorder, speaker and FM radio.
Its video capability can record VGA-resolution movies at 30 frames per second. Playback in the Nano’s screen is bright and clear, and has good color reproduction. However, this has no auto or optical zoom focus.
Audio playback capability is good with external headphones, though you can’t expect the integrated speakers to deliver some high quality audio experience.
But priced at $180, the iPod Nano fifth generation is a spectacular audio gadget you’ve got to have for yourself—just like any other Apple products out there, of course.
