Cowon is gearing to release its new PMP—the V5 HD—that will promise some pretty amazing functions like its ability to play 720p video on its 4.8-inch screen.

The PMP will also include an RSS reader, Flash games and a T-DMB TV tuner that is customizable depending on how much you are willing to shell out for a piece of this media player. It runs on Windows CE 6.0, and it has 8GB of internal memory (although there’s an SD card slot to increase your memory storage space).

The touchscreen is made of TFT LCD, and has 800 x 480 pixels, with the overall measurements listed as 128 x 82 x 15.7mm. But the most impressive part of this PMP is its battery life. According to the company, the V5 HD can last up to 45 hours for audio and 10 hours for video. There’s also an HDMI port that will let you hook this player to your TV.

The Cowon V5 HD will go on sale in South Korea for $253 starting on January 1. It is available in different colors of black, pink, white and silver.
