If you were on the street and anyone asked you to think of a portable media player, I am almost sure that your answer would be - “the iPod” - it’s not too hard to figure this out as Apple managed to almost monopolize the market (we also have Microsoft’s Zune and others). However, the gadget that you can see in the pictures is a concept that could change all of this, and it could become the iPod Killer.

It’s called Digit MP3 Player Concept and you probably notice that there are no wires as this portable MP3 player was designed with wireless ideas in mind. The device comes with a pair of wireless headsets which are very cool, and these couldn’t be different as the MP3 player is extra-slim and ultra-sleek, meaning that it’s one of the coolest looking gadgets ever.

Well, this is only my opinion and I tend to praise the things I really like, but with a user-friendly interface and with 20GB of internal memory, you have to love this device. It was envisioned by Portuguese-based designer Nuno Teixeira, and as you can see it comes in three colors but those could always be three integrated-LEDs that change depending on the status of the device.

The design looks feasible to me, and probably it will enter on the market as soon as the designer completes his concept and maybe when some manufacturer will agree for mass-production.

The storage is kind of small especially since newer cell phone come with a microsd card slot that is 32gb and climbing and are reasonably priced. They usually are equipped with A2DP Bluetooth which enables your cell phone to connect with various headsets that come with controls built in as well as a microphone for calls. I think the goal is to have one multipurpose device not multiple devices with a singular assigned function.
