This is one of the most interesting and useful concepts ever as it could replace the very expensive 3D screens. What’s the alternative? A double layered transparent LCD screen designed by Mac Funamizu as it “would give a feeling of depth” when overlaying graphics.

We realize that this is only a concept and it may never see the sunlight, however, we cannot think of the multiple devices where the dual-layered transparent LCD screen would be very useful - cellphones, photo frames, uber-futuristic TV sets, interactive maps on GPS receivers or e-book readers among many, many others.

Mac admits that his might be “crazy” and that he’s “not planning to develop the works into products,” however, if you think that you can do it you shouldn’t hesitate and contact him. Well, we should thank the designer that he is doing it “just for fun” but we would really like this concept to become a reality.

This is awesome, how do I contact the designer?
that’s awesome, how do i contact the designer and let them know the problems facing making that rendering a reality with current or near future technologies?
@the zero dragon
I know the design is beutifull but the problem this kind of design is not already on the streets is lack of tecnology to do that is to spensive.. maybe in 10 years
