Shoes with GPS Trackers

I don’t know if I should be scared with this or now. Having a GPS tracker right at the very sole of my shoes is kind of not what I had in mind when I said I wanted to track someone. If my mother puts this on me, I’m sure she’ll get my car keys faster than I can say “wait!”

GTX Corporation and Aetrex originally created this GPS shoes for Alzheimer (condition of short- or long-term memory loss) patients. Family members and doctors would get help from the GPS shoes to track the patients if they wandered far from where they are supposed to be.

Although this might trigger surveillance society fears, I think the GPS shoes is a cool new addition to medical gadgets. Let’s just be sure we won’t be using it for other means.

The GPS shoes is set to arrive before 2010, and will retail for $200 or $300. An additional $20-monthly fee would be included if you want to receive alarms when the Alzheimer patients runs off somewhere.

  1. There are lots of super children’s shoes about just now, manufacturers seem to have suddenly found a imaginative spurt. I’m especially loving Italian Lelli Kellys.
