Large Hadron Collider

Yes, it really could, but in a few thousand billion years.
People are desperate and afraid that it might destroy the Earth, because the media send all kind of stories that only are of high interested, but not even far from real.

Every physicist knows that there’s no chance of something really bad to happen, but you know money can buy anyone and this created mass panic.

Large Hadron Collider

The Large Hadron Collider fires particles that pack a high amount of energy and it will smash them together to investigate the debris. By doing this, the scientists hope to find the origin of mass and why the universe has more matter than antimatter. Everything is done at an extremely small scale and this reduces risks to zero.

Large Hadron Collider

There are rumors that the Large Hadron Collider will create black holes and the rumors are true, that’s one of the scientists intentions. But there is other rumor that the black holes will swallow the Earth, which is fake. Yes, the black holes do swallow everything, even light, but the black holes created will be so small that they will disappear in less than a second, because they lose more mass than they absorb.

Large Hadron Collider

Still, if we assume that the scientists are wrong and the black holes will be stable and not evaporate, they will travel so fast that only 10 of 10 million will get trapped, while the others will escape Earth’s gravity. The others will be so tiny that will need 100 hours to gobble up one proton, so still there is no risk, even if we consider the experiment will fail.

Large Hadron Collider

So chill out, you can’t get rid that easy of this hard life, with the recesion and also you won’t have the satisfaction to see Mccain swollen by a black hole.

    brilliant.

  2. Tony Lopes says:

Great post, especially the last comment about McCain. Oh well!

  3. rick says:

Someday our sun will become a red supergiant and it will engulf the earth. Why doesn’t that make news?

  4. DR. INTERNETZ says:

This makes news because of the scale/cost of the experiment. And the fact that we’re slamming shit together at near light speed.

    ALSO COCKS!!!

  5. Anonymous says:

Because that day is far far away…

  6. kevin says:

The sun doesn’t make the news because it to will be a (for lack of a better phrase) very long time before it engulfs our planet as a red supergiant. However… the potential for scientists creating tiny, miniscule, not even worthy of nanoscopic, black holes which would spend an infinite amount of time to swallow any semblance of life on this planet, happens right now.

  7. matt says:

    We have a sun?
OH MY GOSH!!!!! we’re all gona die!!!!! lol

  8. Eddie Kett says:

How cool would it be if we were all swallowed up by a black hole we created here on Earth? It’s not like we could upset or angry because umm… we’d ALL be dead.

  9. Ruff says:

Were are so advanced and so stupid. Money spent on such nonsense. Why not invest this on developing a new energy resource so we can break the OPEC umbilical cord.

  10. me says:

    Fuck you and Fuck Cern

  11. 5inister says:

I wonder what the large hard-on collider could destroy?

  12. Ruff says:

Ruff, prehaps this will be catalyst in discovering an alternative energy source.

Thanks to many scientific experiments, we have things like the internet, TV, Medicine’s, xrays. The list goes on!

  13. dirtBrilliant says:

wakka wakka wakka, where would be if we didn’t take risks for science?

  14. anon says:

    ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH

  15. ponavis says:

Well if black holes were made, do they follow the laws of gravity? Will it stay its place on earth or its place in the universe?

  16. sabby says:

Well, this lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. I thought they were creating this so called thing to make a massive blackhole and kill us all! But I guess not. I guess I can continue living now. : D

  17. smilidon says:

hey Ruff for one we didn’t fund most of it hence the reason its not here (and thank god) they would probly have made a government watch group to make sure no illegal black holes were created or something retarded like that. Besides if we can create a tablespoon of anti-matter that is enough energy to power the world for a year. But how could that be relevant right?

  18. I m far from being afraid… all media hype

  19. novum says:

    Yes, they do.

  20. Bloo says:

My head hurts from the Engrish

  21. friedcalamari says:

so this big thing called a cooooolider? is going to solve what now? the worlds homeless or hunger? the money spent on this toy for billionairs and geeks is for what now? to find out how it all started?..lol seriously who gvs a flyn fck? we are born we live a little bit we die..enjoy life have fun dont hold back and be good to yourself and others thats all you need to know…why pay so much to find out what happened THEN when theres so much suffering in the world NOW that we could be spending that money on..i dont get how rich people think..spend money on that but fuk the poor and helpless..this world needs to reconize that none of this matters..we are all going to die so why not make the people that are suffering now a little more comfortable? but no we have to know..psssst the world is going to die too some day so woopie if you find out how all this sht was created and what happened next and blah blah blah its all not going to matter in the end..ok im done i got so much more but wont waste it on this board and what was that thing you said bout mccain?huh? mccain is gonna get swallowed up by a bla ,ohhh i get it this is a knock on how mccain will lose to obama ohhh vat a country he said that but was making joke ahahahaha ohhhh!!!! *sigh* (lil family guy sarcasm for you peeps)

and to the peeps out there reading

feed the hungry ,feed the homeless

it would only cost you so little and would make them live a little bit better

make a change america, get up and do something about this for the sake of humanity,we can do this!!!

  22. Robert says:

If the LHC works we wont need energy anymore you dipshits.

  23. lazer says:

omg the time is nearing!! what if the black hole swallows us in 2012?!

  24. Mike says:

    To Robert:

You sah, are the dipshit. If the LHC works we have absolutely NO fucking clue what could/would happen. To make a statement like “if the LHC works we won’t need energy anymore” is some of the most uninformed shit I’ve heard.

All we have currently is THEORIES, which function similar to faith. The only real difference between the two is that the THEORIES are subject to change when proven fallible.
