Nyko Type Pad Pro Brings QWERTY to the Wii Completely Inconspicuously

The surge to prominence of the Wiimote is characterized by EA sports where players go about waving those Wiimotes in the air catching the imaginary balls off a game of tennis.

The new Type Pad Pro attaches to the Nyko Wand (it cannot be attached to the Wiimote directly because it is semi-incompatible and it lacks Nyko’s propriety Trans-Port Technology). It then transforms an ordinary Nintendo controller into a spaceship-like full QWERTY keyboard. Through the trans-port communication, the A and B buttons on the want would be located at the Type Pad Pro while the pad itself is connected to the Wii through a wireless USB cable.

I know it’s quite confusing but the point is, the Wiimote and the Type Pad Pro cannot communicate directly. The result: a QWERTY keyboard that allows you to connect and browse through the Internet using the Wiimote.

I don’t know why there’s a need for a full QWERTY keyboard with the Wii. If we want to browse the Internet, we can always turn on the laptop or what not. Perhaps, this is a good use for the Wii delivery service in Japan. If you need to note something with the delivery service, all you need to do is type in a little something using the Type Pad Pro and they’re good to go. Maybe they should make a Japanese-language keyboard, whatcha think? No price yet has been released for the Nyko but I’m pretty sure it will be out in the market soon.
