Problems in climate change has pushed some sector, and even companies, to believe that it’s time already to manufacture some eco-friendly gadgets. Sharp is leading the pack with its innovative SH6230C.

Expected to come out in the Chinese market later this February, this mobile phone is the first solar-powered cellphone unleashed by Sharp to the wild. It boasts of the company’s cell module with 2.9-inch LCD display and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera.

The solar panel, which is responsible for the electric-less charging, is located at the back of the handset. This will help it make easier to just leave this phone by your window sill to catch the sun’s rays.

The Sharp SH6230C will be available in a range of cool colors like blue, pink, white and black.

No word on pricing though, so stay tuned for more details.
