With the multitude of e-book readers that came out in 2009, you think that manufacturers are now having a hard time finding what else is good with these readers? No! Take this Skiff, for example. It just announced that it has came out with a large touchscreen e-book reader that will surely give Kindle a run for its money.
The Skiff e-reader is a lightweight device with an 11.5-inch full flexible touchscreen, making it the largest e-book reader out in the market. It has beaten the 9.7-inch touchscreen Kindle DX into oblivion. At just over one pound, this device’s display screen will have a resolution of 1200 x 1600 pixels.
This device is mainly constructed to be used not only for PDF book formats, but also for newspaper and magazine content. It is slated to use Sprint’s 3G network that offers wireless connectivity.
The Skiff e-reader will debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas later this week at a still undisclosed price.
