You Just Can't Stay Mad At The Yamaha TSX-W80 Wireless iPod Alarm Clock

I am a big sucker for classic-looking gadgets. It’s probably the inner geek in me, but I always had a thing for box-typed speakers. The Yamaha TSX-W80 is just the kind of device I am looking for that will suit my techie needs, and will be compatible with my iPod as well.

The device has a wireless iPod cradle that can stream tunes to the speaker using Yamaha’s proprietary AirWired technology. This 60’s style speakers is also a digital alarm clock that produces one of the greatest sounds in alarm clock history–it is not shrilly at all. The device is colored black and light blue, and has dials for source, volume and preset. Two round speakers are located on both sides of this boxed-type sounding device, producing balance sound level.

The Yamaha TSX-W80 is expected to hit Japanese shelves in December (no word yet on whether or not it will be released in the US). Stay tuned for more details, including the price.
