As you already know, world’s tallest tower can be found in Dubai, it’s the Burj Dubai. Once again, you already know that the upcoming world’s tallest tower will also be found in Dubai, the Nakheel Tower. But what happens when these towers will be just too small? Well, I’m really tired about this but those guys in Dubai aren’t and they are planning to build even a bigger tower than Nakheel, the Dubai City Tower.
The upcoming world’s tallest tower will measure 1.55-mile high and it will be build as a city within a city within a city as the tower itself is a city which will be build in the Jumeirah City which will be build in Dubai. Yeah, I know this phrase sounds awkward, but this is Dubai: AWKWARD.
“The hardest part is the servicing of the height: the transportation, power, water and waste disposal,” said Alastair Colling, from the International Council on Tall Buildings.
This vertical city will consist of six separate towers which will form together this marvelous structure. The transportation will be ensured by a 125mph bullet train which will send up&down passengers. Well, after you get your heart back from your pants, you will learn that the skyscraper will generate its own energy thanks to solar, wind, and thermal power.
I’m not sure about this project, but Dubai can really do it. The problem is that they have to start showing some respect to the workers by paying them better and treat them properly, not like slaves.

Magnificent! This tower surpasses everything in size and beauty. Unfortunaty the credit-crunch is working against this new wonder of the world. Hopefully the crisis is not as long as expected, so this incredible project can move forward.
I really hope I do not have to wait until 2040 to see this project realized. As this marvel is completed it will be a gift from the people of Dubai to the entire world.
This tower celebrates life, and will help to bring optimism back in the hearts of everyone.
So let’s start building as soon as possible!

the mile high tower is going to build in jeddah and its 1600 meter and it has more than 350 floors and this tower name is dubai city tower not Mile High Dubai City Tower and jeddah is the best cityin the world.

This should just be illegal. Seriously. This is entirely too ridiculous. That thing is literally about to reach into the stratosphere, which could be slightly dangerous. Dubai needs to quit building one massive building and focus on twenty or thirty buildings that strengthen the overall skyline. Having a few huge ass buildings doesn’t make a skyline, it makes a few huge ass buildings sticking out like Dubai had an erection. This city is going to fall apart quick if they don’t get real. No one would even back this, We can hardly get people in the U.S.A. to build a mid rise in our major cities yet these idiots are going to build an almost 8,000 foot tall tower.

Go for it! Make it 10,000 stories while they are at it and make the top in space. Sounds insane, but what the heck. Nice view from the top “above the clouds”. Nothing but blue sky and no weather. Why not!

Why is this going to be built in Dubai? This should be in the works for a major metropolitan city, not some desert oasis with people who have too much money on their hands. It would be much better if it was built in Tokyo, New York or Hong Kong so that it would actually service people instead of being a giant appendage into the atmosphere in an area with tons of open space for future expansion. There’s no use wasting money on this if it is just a showy display of wealth, and has no practical application other than being the tallest structure in the world.
But whatever, those guys can spend their money however they want. Ignore all the other problems that need monetary support.
