“Black features are beautiful. Black women aren’t. White ladies are paragons of virtue and need. Black ladies are objects of fetishism and brutality.

This, as a minimum, seems to be the mentality surrounding black femininity and beauty in a society constructed upon eurocentric beauty standards. whereas white women are praised for altering their bodies, plumping their lips, and tanning their skin, black women are shamed even supposing the same options exist on them naturally.

This double standard is one string in the netting that surrounds black female sexuality — an online that entraps black ladies once they declare sexual company. Deeply ingrained into tradition is the conception that black female bodies, on the intersect of oppression, are lower than human and therefore unattractive.”
