On the Late Night With Seth Myers, Carice Van Houten took her child-burning Red Priestess, Melisandre and had her attend the Red Wedding of baby showers. There is also a reference to Jon Snow’s death in the Game Of Thrones season 5 finale though no hints as to whether Melisandre will be performing a little resurrection magic on him or not.

Van Houten visited Seth Meyers’ late night NBC talk show to promote the upcoming sixth season of her HBO drama. While she refused to reveal any spoilers about what’s to come during a sit-down interview, she did tease Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) fate in a sketch involving her dark and mysterious character, The Red Woman.

The sketch features Melisandre, who pretends to be an old college friend of Seth’s. (Go North Westeros!) Seth invites her over for his wife Alexi’s baby shower, but Melisandre doesn’t exactly understand social norms.

“The night is dark and full of terrors,” she warns Alexi and her friends on multiple occasions. After some encouragement from Seth, Melisandre tries to bond with the other women by opening up to them about a guy she’s crushing on. “There is someone I work with I like,” she reveals. “His name is Jon Snow. But I’m not really sure he’s the right guy.”

When one of the party guests asks why Melisandre’s not sure, the priestess of the Lord of Light explains that she’s “pretty sure he’s dead.” “Pretty sure he’s dead?” Seth asks. “Well, at least that’s the way it was left,” she tells him.

George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book series “A Song of Ice and Fire” is brought to the screen as HBO sinks its considerable storytelling teeth into the medieval fantasy epic. It’s the depiction of two powerful families — kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and honest men — playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne. Martin is credited as a co-executive producer and one of the writers for the series, which was filmed in Northern Ireland and Malta.

Van Houten currently stars in ‘Race,’ the story about American runner Jesse Owens and the Olympic Games in Berlin, co-stars Stephan James as Owens along with Jason Sudeikis and Jeremy Irons. In the new Focus Features film “Race,” about track star Owens‘ historic wins in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, she plays Adolf Hitler‘s favorite filmmaker, Leni Riefenstahl. She says in this film the focus is on Riefenstahl’s artistic accomplishments, rather than her Nazi connection.

“I admire her craft. She is a really interesting filmmaker. She was really innovative. It is difficult to say how much she knew and what she knew,” said Van Houten. Riefenstahl worked for the Hitler regime, according to Fox.

“She has not spoken a lot about it. After the war, she’d had been in a lot of trouble for being a propagandist for this regime. It is hard to say. I’d like to believe she was not quite aware, she just wanted to make art. But of course she was a Nazi. But it’s difficult to say,” said Van Houten.

‘Race’ opens in theaters on Friday.
