Waiting for someone to message you back on Facebook? The social networking site has added a fun new feature that makes getting bored on Messenger a thing of the past. Facebook released Instant Games, which can be played solo or with friends.

According to Facebook’s press release, to play a game in Messenger, simply “open a conversation with a friend (or friends!), tap on the game controller icon just below where you type your message, and choose a game to start playing right away.” Scores will be shared with whoever is part of the group chat in order to make it a more competitive experience. If you want to play by yourself, the games are also available in the Messenger search box or Facebook news feed.

Some of the 17 game selections include:

  • Pac-Man
  • Space Invaders
  • Words with Friends: Frenzy
  • Hex
  • Zookeeper

Instant Games will feature leaderboards, in-context chat and group thread conversations to make playing with friends more engaging. The games, which come after more than 1 billion games of in-Messenger basketball and soccer were played, will be available on newer iOS and Android operating systems, according to the press release, and will make their debut in 30 countries.
