Now you can (almost) never be apologetic about Sending An e mail once more

Gmail has formally introduced its “undo send” function, after experimenting with it for years.

Oh, the wretched reply-all faux pas. many people have fallen prey to e mail trigger finger, top us to send an electronic mail a 2d too quickly—say, before verifying that our boss is now not on the receiving finish of it. but now not: Gmail has eventually presented the “undo ship” function to its web model.

Google has been checking out the tool when you consider that 2009 thru its experimental arm, Gmail Labs. The “undo ship” button means that you can revoke an e mail within 5 to 30 seconds of hitting send, although Gmail users need to enable the function and set the grace duration for it to take impact. Head over the settings component to your Gmail account and scroll down through the “normal” tab to take action.

A word of warning: The undo option will best seem if you haven’t already navigated faraway from the page, regardless of the time interval that you have set. So if you already know you will have made a mistake simplest after clicking on different emails on your inbox, you might be out of luck.
