Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro: Specs and Price Details – What to Expect About India Launch?

Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro

As far as specifications are concerned, they match the one revealed earlier this week. The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro sports a 6-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor along with whopping 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via a micro SD card. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro also features a fingerprint scanner mounted on its physical home button. It measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9 mm and weighs 189g. The 4G-enabled C9 Pro is backed by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. Apart from 4G LTE, the connectivity options on the dual SIM (Nano+Nano) smartphone include Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), GPS, Glonass, Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

On the camera front, the Galaxy C9 Pro sports a 16-megapixel camera on both the front and the back. The rear camera comes with a f/1.9 aperture, phase detection auto-focus [PDAF] system, and a dual-tone LED flash, while the front camera [with f/1.9 aperture] is missing the flash module.

The Galaxy C9 Pro is the first Samsung smartphone to feature 6GB RAM, which is its USP. The long-rumored handset comes at a time, when Samsung is struggling with its brand image, after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Initially, the Galaxy Note 7 was also reported to come with 6GB RAM, instead of 4GB RAM.

Samsung has not given any official statement about the Galaxy C9 Pro India launch. Rumors have different opinions, few claims the smartphone will be released in India early next year, while others claim the device may never hit Indian markets similar to Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7.
