Microsoft announced a while ago that they will launch Windows 7 during 2010. However, it seems like they will not keep their promise as Vista’s heir on June 3rd, 2009. Allegedly, they decided that as many users were dissatisfied with Vista and they are asking for a new and improved version of Windows.
Although rumors about an earlier release were already here, they were boosted by the fact that the internal calendar of Windows 7 has a different release date than Microsoft announced and this date is the aforementioned June 3rd, 2009.
If you didn’t knew already, the Windows 7 beta will be launched on October 27th at the Professional Developers Conference, but Microsoft is already working on M3 (the third major build). The same rumors say that Windows 7 will be based on Vista’s kernel and on its device driver model therefore the Vista software drivers will be compatible with Windows 7.
Personally, I prefer the early 2010 release because if they launch Windows 7 earlier it may not be so good and full of annoying bugs. I’d rather wait for six more months than to load my PC with a lot of crap. Check out the video below of M1 Windows 7.
