Called the Mini 5 or the Streak, the new Dell tablet is looking at coming out soon on AT&T in the late summer. However, this new tablet will debut first in Europe rather than in the United States.

With a size of a Sony PlayStation, this portable Streak can be an iPad competitor with its 5-inch capacitive display screen, a 5MP camera at the back, a separate front-facing camera that can be used for video conferencing, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi and 3G connectivity and Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor.

For Dell, the Inspiron M301z is the first laptop to come with the AMD Dual-Core Neo processor that promises extraordinary speed and performance. For the meantime, you cannot find this notebook on Dell’s official site although Dell Singapore has been very vocal about this notebook’s release.

We have previously posted about the new Dell Streak that looks like it can battle it out with the oh-so-famous Apple iPad. You can call it a plus-size smartphone or a mini-size tablet…  but whatever it is, I’m sure you will find lots of reasons to be happy about this new device from Dell.

As we have been fervently wishing for some perfect tablet to land on our laps, here’s Dell reminding us that we can settle for its Mini 5 Android Slate for now.

The 5-inch screen that supports multitouch has a custom Android, SIM port (to make calls), WiFi capability and Bluetooth connectivity. Like the iPod Touch, it feels light and more “plastic-y.” But, I daresay it is solid from the look and feel of it. Making a call with Dell’s Mini Slate will make you look like you’re holding a giant mobile phone though, so make sure you use a headset when making calls with this device.

Dell has just unveiled its new competitor for the Macbook Air. After a much anticipated makeover, the Dell Adamo XPS is back; only now, it has a thinner and lighter body.
