Do you often find yourself switching on the television set as soon as you wake up just so you would know what the weather forecast is for the day? The hassle it would create to pick up the remote control or stand up and look for the control (if you accidentally left it somewhere else before you sleep), is not a good deal-breaker for an early morning rut.

The answer to this burgeoning need to combine alarm clock and weather announcements? The Wake To Weather Alarm Clock. This bedside device would inform you of the weather the moment you wake up. It received a radio signal with an AccuWeather data for…

This day and age got us into thinking how could one possibly work and at the same time, be a parent to their kids. I have seen countless movies where a mother rocks her child to sleep all the while doing some cooking, or the dishes, the laundry and shouting for her other kids to turn the TV volume down. But thanks to a new German product, it at least unburdens you with rocking your child back and forth in her / his cradle.

The Lolaloo Baby Rocker is an electronic gadget that rocks your child’s stroller back and forth, in the interest of giving you more free time for yourself…

A gigabyte GA-IBP board was spotted over at CeBIT recently. This is a P55 chipset, socket LGA1156 motherboard, intended for use with the forthcoming Core i5 processor from Intel.

The Core i5 is a Lynnfield processor, whose design is based on the Nehalem Intel Core microarchitecture. The socket for the i5 is different from the Core i7 Bloomfield, which utilizes the LGA1366 socket. The i5 has got 8 MB of Intel Smart Cache, supports Turbo Boost technology, has hyperthreading technology – four cores with the processing capacity of eight discrete threads – and it’s got an integrated memory controller with support for 2-channel DDR3 memory.

With the Core i5, Intel intends to…

Here’s an interesting tidbit from technology-fused furniture design. Sung-Pil Hwang has built the aptly-named “Plug-In Table,” which is simultaneously a shelf, a lamp, and charging station. The table seems to balance itself with support from its primary plug in the wall. The table could probably benefit from a secondary support system, given that it seems to balance perilously on the edge of one shelf. Potential future updates to the design could support a more modular design, whereby the shelves are configurable or rotatable to some degree.

Sung-Pil Hwang is clearly on to something with this design, which is still in the concept stages at this point. We’re a fan of the…

After its unveiling at the Consumer Electronics Show last month, the Logitech Harmony 1100 is now available in stores for a price of $499.99. It’s a big difference from the 1000 version of the touchscreen universal remote which cost $300. However, the upgrades are visible as the Harmony 1100 comes with a black anodized aluminum body, and a fully customizable touchscreen which measures 3.5 inches.

If you missed the Logitech Harmony at CES, let me remind you that the device can be paired to Logitech’s Harmony RF Extender using wireless RF capability, while it can handle 15 other devices from a 175,000 database. Well, if this is not impressive then I…

A while ago I thought that an MP3 player is useless as I thought that there are other (and better) options available. However, my opinion has changed when I went on a road-trip. In those moments I would have done anything for an MP3 player, but it was too late for a very useful portable media player. Here is an interesting MP3 player concept called Colorsonic which uses colors to organize playlists. A music genre represents a color which represents a “mood”.

The Colorsonic MP3 player concept was designed by Rhea Jeong and according to the designer, Samsung are very interested in manufacturing the gadget. In order to play music, you…
