Just crossing our radar screens is an interesting little add-on device for the Nintendo DS that aims to prevent avid gamers from overindulging in their favorite pastime. The Health Control Game Timer integrates a timer system with a proximity sensor in order to make sure that gamers are spending an appropriate amount of time with their handheld and to ensure that those gamers are maintaining a safe face-to-screen distance at all times.

Now, any gamer in a frenzy could simply tear the little thing from the DS and hurl it across the room, but at milder emotional levels, the Health Control Game Timer might just come in handy for gamers whose…

For all of you aging geeks out there who still remember those pixelated thrills you got on your Commodore 64, here’s a little pick-me-up: The Frodo S60 application emulates the C64 on any N95, N96, or S60 mobile. This is gnarly only because it resurrects a ton of classic, nostalgia-riddled games and applications that you otherwise never would have thought about ever again in your life. Just when you thought you had finally outrun your Commodore 64, whose thundering footsteps you’ve been hearing in your dreams since you threw it out with the trash back in ’89, welp – it’s caught up to you. Again.

You’ll never get rid of that…

For the dorks who like ‘em bigger and bluer, here’s the Lian-Li PC-888, a fantastically oversized PC case that’s ready to hold all sorts of powerful nerdery inside. Word on the grapevine is that the designers intended for this custom chassis to suggest the shape of a sail in order to underscore its moving-air cooling system. That’s fine, given that the thing’s so big, it probably experiences some kind of a wind tunnel effect in there.

The Lian-Li PC-888 can store 11 5.25” drives, and each one can handle a removable dust filter. Ostensibly the design implies a server or hard-drive cabinet, but we bet that some homebody’s gonna rig one…

Remember the Nintendo DS Lite? Well, do you remember that Nintendo unveiled the DSi a few months ago? If you do and you liked Nintendo’s latest gadget, then you will be happy to know that it’s going to be available sooner rather than later. According to some sources, the Nintendo DSi will enter on the US market as of April 4th for a price of $180.

This makes the DSi $50 more expensive than the DS Lite, but this is only a marketing strategy as Nintendo doesn’t want the DSi to “cannibalize” the DS Lite version which was very welcomed by consumers who bought it like crazy.

My opinion is that the…

In the next few years, the Nintendo Wii could be history as a California-based company has developed a new system which has a refresh rate of ten milliseconds. If you liked the old PSP 2000 and you found it quite ok, I think there will be no reason why you shouldn’t like Sony’s new PSP 3000 upgrade. The main difference between the two it is that the new PSP 3000 has brighter, increased contrast. PSP 3000 also features a wider color gamut screen, which, in my opinion will make new friends among PSP lovers. As we expected, the interlacing issues have not been completely solved, but I believe it looks better than old PSP 2000.

So would you really want to upgrade your PSP 2000? Not yet I should say, because the interlace is not way better on the…
