
Verizon subscribers can now start saving money for next year’s release of the Verizon-based iPhone. Although Verizon has unleashed wrath on the Apple phone, the company is now swallowing whatever’s left of its reputation and banking on releasing its own version of the popular smartphone.
By the third quarter of 2010, Verizon will be delivering the iPhone to its subscribers, a report from OTR Global said. The report says that Apple is now working on a “worldmode” iPhone compatible with Verizon’s CDMA network.
According to the research firm, Verizon’s iPhone will have a smaller screen—only 2.8 inches. This is significantly smaller than the current iPhone’s 3.5-inch display.
