For Dell, the Inspiron M301z is the first laptop to come with the AMD Dual-Core Neo processor that promises extraordinary speed and performance. For the meantime, you cannot find this notebook on Dell’s official site although Dell Singapore has been very vocal about this notebook’s release.

The Dell Inspiron M301z has 1.3Ghz dual-core Athlon II Neo K325 processor (optional 1.5GHz Neo K625), 2GB of 1,333MHz DDR3 memory card (up to 4GB supported) and a 320GB hard drive at 7,200 RPM. It also has ATI Radeon HD 4225 integrated graphics, a glossy 13.3-inch WLED display with 1,366 x 768 pixels and a 6-cell 44 WHr battery with up to 5 hours power.

Ever since HP took over Palm, various critics have begun saying that it could also mean something for the HP Slate, which is poised to come out very soon. The Android-running HP Compaq AirLife 100 has finally released its specs. After considerably spending time at MWC and FCC, this 10-inch smartbook is finally ready for all the glory and critics that will come its way.

Apple has finally updated its Macbook Pro line with a new i7 processor and graphics, of course. So, for those of you who are waiting for the right time and right reason to buy for yourself a Macbook Pro, then this is as good a reason as any.

The new Macbook 15-incher now has Intel Core i5 and i7 chipsets while the 17-incher got the standard i5 and i7 as an option. And although these processors speed things up, the clock speed actually suffered as it is now maxed out at 2.66GHz instead of the previous 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo (or 3.06GHz at special order).
