The Christmas is coming and I have to say that I’ve found the perfect gift, at least for me. It’s called the Fragile Future 2 and it consists of a LED lighting fixture that is custom built and I’m sure that it will look great on my wall. The light sources are made of LEDs and dandelion seed pods which means that you REALLY have to be careful around it.

It was designed by Lonneke Gordijn from Design Drift, and he says that you can have your LED lightting fixture with 3 to 50 light modules, probably depending on how much money you have. Well, each light module measures 8×12 inches…

You probably noticed how much we love LEDs and I have to say that we will love them even more as we are getting older because LED light could be used in medicine. How? Well, according to two German researchers LEDs could help reducing skin wrinkles therefore in the future Botox or other cosmetic surgeries could be history.

After a few weeks when “patients” have endured the high-intensity visible light from the LEDs daily, the results were incredible: “rejuvenated skin, reduced wrinkle levels, juvenile complexion and lasting resilience.”

High-intensity visible light was used in medicine for a long time, but researchers never noticed the physicochemical properties this light. According to Andrei P.…

Have you ever considered decorating your room with a glowing LED cube? Now it’s your chance, because Hack n’ Mod posted some DIY instructions for you to build one. You can always buy it form Seekway but this means that you won’t have any fun. I am kind of lazy so I will consider buying the LED Cube.

It will be easier to start with a 3×3×3 cube design, then step up to a 8×8×8 design. The ultimate challenge is to build your own 10×10×10 LED cube. However, even if you manage to build it it will be very difficult to track each LED’s location. Well, I will let you follow…

Do you own a pet fish? Well, if you do check out this bowl which resembles the Earth. It’s called Globe Aquarium, it’s made of glass (of course) and your fish will be healthy and happy in the bowl. What’s cool about this aquarium is that it features LED illumination and we all like a modern design.

The Globe Aquarium with LED light can hold up to 1/2 gallon of water and it costs $49.95. I don’t have a fish, however, I would consider buying it as when you turn the lights off the blue LED light is really nice.

Do you believe in UFOs or aliens? Yeah, neither do I. On the 4th of July we all know that Americans celebrate their Independence Day and everybody enjoys the fireworks, but something cooler happened this year in Poland. On that day, over Poland flew an UFO made of 3,000 LEDs which was designed by Peter Coffin in collaboration with Cinimod Studio.

The UFO measured 23 feet long and it was made from aluminum, but the SMS-controlled UFO impressed the audience with its bright LEDs. Many of the people laughed and probably, those who didn’t know what it was, were terrified. Check out the video below and tell us what you think!

Santa Monica’s main attraction point, the Ferris Wheel, has now received a complimentary update consisting of 160,000 attached LEDs. The upgrade has pulled $1.5 million from the city’s fundings. The 90-foot ride was built in 1996 by Chance Morgan Rides and was the world’s first ferris wheel to use solar power.

Thanks to the energy it accumulates from the sunlight over the day time, the bright lights that create a superb colored view use conventional energy sources very little, sparing the local council from another expenses. As the electricity problem is solved, the amusement park can keep most of the funds from tickets, making it a very profitable business.

The Talking CPR Flashlight does exactly just that: at the push of a button, you’ll hear a clear female voice giving you CPR instructions. It comes in a very compact design that uses LEDs powered by AAA batteries, so that it can be held easily and doesn’t interfere with the CPR procedure.

The device has a length of 4 inches and has a button for playing the CPR guide as well as a ‘Pause’ key. The LED light makes it very handy in illuminating the emergency situation, and the flashlight can be bought for $36. I doubt they’ll put it for sale in pharmacies, though.

This LED lamp was created for camping purposes, but is nothing like the regular camping lamps, that use batteries. This one gets its energy right from the camping location, preferably an open field. Using wind energy, you can get up to 30 minutes of light from just one minute of exposure, so this would come handy wherever it’s dark and no power sources are available.

The lamp lasts 48 hours on ’safety light’ mode, or four hours in ‘ambient’ mode. The wind up lantern is available for just $39 which you are assured to quickly recover from the electricity bill and also comes with a 12v car adapter.
