A brand new smartphone made by ASUS called Glaxy7 is rumored to have been developed, and it is said to be Samsung Omnia’s main challenger. The leaked photos show that ASUS’ smartphone looks to be a slim candybar cellphone that features a 5-megapixel cam. Based on Microsoft WM 6.1, the phone has a 3.5-inch touchscreen and his front camera makes us think it may feature 3G technology as well.

ASUS Glaxy7 will measure 115×59×13,8 mm which makes us think it is too slim to feature a slide-out keypad. A little birdie told us that Asus may prepare a 4GB internal memory, expandable via MicroSD cards. Bluetooh, Wi-Fi, aGPS clouldn’t be missing…

The inventor of the first modern portable handset is Dr Martin Cooper, who was the general manager for the systems division at Motorola at that time. In 1973, Dr Cooper made the first call on a portable cell phone. He called his rival Joel Engel, head of research at Bell Labs, to give him the latest news on how the competition between them was turning out. The picture above represents him and his first mobile phone.

The first commercial handheld cellular phone was launched by Motorola in 1983, and weighed 28 ounces. The device could be purchased for a price of ‘only’ $3,995, and keep in mind that $1 was much more…

Just imagine if you want to make an international call!

This cellphone concept was inspired by haptic technology and it’s the most “cryptic” phone that I have ever seen. So, if you like this design then prepare your wrists…
