If you want an updated version of the M8, then here is your chance to get one for yourself. The

Meizu M9, which will supposedly come out by August this year, almost has the same features as its predecessors except, perhaps, for a couple of new things.

The Meizu M9 has the same 3.6-inch display screen, 1GHz (Samsung S5 PC110) processor and HDMI 1.3. And rather than keeping up with its predecessor’s interface and design, the Meizu M9 has an Apple-esque interface—almost looking like an Android 2.1.

Expect the Meizu M9 to come out on August 18 for about $350, depending on the configurations you want it to contain.

One of the leading companies in mobile phones and GPS manufacturer Garmin recently came out with the Garminfone.

This Android-based device has fairly ordinary specs including a 3.5-inch multitouch display, 3MP camera, music player, WiFi and standard Google services like Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps.

It has a navigation centric design, a voice and on-screen turn-by-turn directions for walking, driving or public transit. It also offers real-time traffic and weather reports, nearby gas prices and it also allows users to record custom voice directions.

The Garminfone will come out exclusively on T-Mobile although the company has yet to disclose the pricing and availability.

You have to feel sorry for Microsoft sometimes, what with their continuous effort to come up with a smartphone that can be able to battle it out with other brands out there.
