2017 Nissan Terrano Launched in India – Price, Specs, Mileage and Other Details

Nissan has officially launched the brand spanking new 2017 Nissan Terrano facelift in India. Priced at Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.2 lakh (ex-showroom), the new car comes more than three years later since the Terrano was first introduced in October 2013. Since then, the car received only one major update, when Nissan rolled out the Terrano Groove Edition.

However, the Japan-based auto giant did introduce an automated manual transmission (AMT) variant of the Terrano last year. So, if you are considering buying the new Terrano, here are some details that you would like to have handy to make up your mind:

2017 Nissan Terrano Specs and mileage

The new Nissan Terrano facelift retains the same 1.6-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines, with the former producing 102bhp and 145Nm of torque, and the diesel variant offering 84bhp and 200Nm of torque or 108bhp and 248Nm of torque.

While the lower-end diesel variant comes equipped with five-speed manual gearbox, the higher-end and more powerful variant has either a six-speed manual or an AMT gearbox to offer. The most frugal diesel promises a mileage of 19.64 kmpl.

Nissan has added as many as 22 new features to the 2017 Nissan Terrano facelift, including many much-needed ones. For example, there is a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring navigation, as well as voice recognition. Other key features include: cruise control, hill climb assist, electrically operable ORVMs, and more.

The interior has also been given a sleek black and brown dual-tone color scheme alongside leather or new fabric upholstery (based on the variant). The steering wheel has also been revamped and now gives additional controls for audio and telephony.

Another important addition would be the much-needed armrest for the driver. Apart from these, the new buttons for power windows are illuminated, and the wing mirrors come with integrated indicators.

Alongside other feature and cosmetic updates, the 2017 Terrano has also been given anti-lock brakes (ABS) with EBD, electronic stability program (ESP), as well as, dual airbags as standard fitment across all models.
