Lenovo Vibe C2 Announced : And It’s Not The Next Moto E

Ever since Lenovo had acquired Motorola, speculations were rife that it wasn’t feasible to continue the Moto E series and the Lenovo Vibe series parallelly. Earlier, we had reported that a device named Lenovo Vibe C2 had been spotted and that there was a chance that it might be the next Moto E device, thanks to the resemblance in the model numbers. Well, we were partially correct as the Lenovo Vibe C2 has indeed been just officially announced by Lenovo Russia, but it won’t be a replacement or a part of the Moto E series.

The official website of Lenovo Russia has stated that the Vibe C2 will be soon launched in Russia. As for the specs, the Vibe C2 will sport a 5-inch HD display and will be powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor coupled with Mali-T720MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The device will come in 8GB/16GB internal memory variants which can be expanded further via a microSD card and will pack a modest 2,750 mAh battery.

In the camera department, there is an 8MP primary rear shooter and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chat. The Vibe C2 will be shipped with the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Vibe UI on top. The device offers dual-SIM functionality with 4G LTE support.

While the Lenovo Russia website stated that the device will be launched soon, neither a fixed date or pricing details have been announced yet. The device will come only in black and white colour variants.

The Vibe C2 is expected to be launched in other global markets too, so we will keep a keen eye on the developments and will come back to you with anything that turns up regarding this promising device, Lenovo Vibe C2.
