Microsoft on Tuesday released an update to Windows 11, the company’s latest PC operating system, making it easy to launch the new Bing chatbot for those who have access to the technology.

A new Bing icon will appear in the taskbar search box, with Microsoft highlighting the new chat answers experience.

Windows drives 9% of Microsoft’s revenue. More than a million people are testing the Bing preview in 169 countries. The idea is to give the “hundreds of millions of Windows 11 users” access to the search and chat technology to ask and get answer to questions. The chat also will let users generate content from their Windows taskbar.

Windows Chief Product Officer Panos Panay wrote in a blog post that “soon hundreds of millions of Windows 11 users can get access to the technology” that will enable them to search, chat, answer questions and generate content from their Windows taskbar.

The search box is one of the most widely used features on Windows, with more than half a billion users every month.

The Windows 11 update now available also includes Phone Link for iOS, a touch-optimized taskbar, and more.

Windows users with Apple iPhones will have easier access to the photos with iCloud integration in the Photos app.

It will initially launch in preview to some Windows users.

Microsoft also improved its widgets system in Windows 11 to include third-party options from Meta and Spotify.

For those with a device like a Surface Pro, disconnecting a keyboard will now collapse the taskbar to make it more compact.

With the update, users will also get an official screen recording tool.
