Nokia 3310, an entry-level phone from the year 2000, is one of the most successful phones from the Finnish brand. Speculations are rife that a newer edition of the phone is slated for an announcement at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 next week. Apart from it, the company is also expected to unveil Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 budget smartphones.

Rumors have it that the modern Nokia 3310 would be available in the U.K. exclusively through Carphone Warehouse as HMD Global ( the company that markets phones with Nokia branding) is said to have partnered with the retailer. Speculations indicate that it may be called Nokia 3310 Reboot at launch.

It is expected to selling with a pricing of about 59 euros ($62) in the United Kingdom. In China, it will be exclusively sold through Jingdong. As of this writing, there is no information available on the pricing of Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

Nokia 3310 Reboot Features

Even though it is an upgraded phone, the alleged Nokia 3310 Reboot will still be a feature phone. It won’t be running on Android. The appearance of the phone is expected to remain as the older model. However, Nokia is expected to reduce its thickness and weight.

The original Nokia 3310 features a monochrome screen that has a resolution of 84 x 84 pixels. The newer model may come with a larger color display along with increased resolution. It also expected to come with a larger battery as the original version came with a 900 mAh battery. It is expected to come in color choices like red, green and yellow.

A concept video of Nokia 3310 Reboot has revealed that it features a 1.5-inch display, a rear facing camera, 8 GB native storage, microUSB port and a 1,650 mAh battery. The revamped Nokia 3310 will also carry support data connectivity. It is expected to be available in European and North America nations and China at the beginning and it is rumored to sell in India by May.

Recently, the rumored Nokia 8 flagship was found listed on Jingdong for preorders even before its official launch. There is no confirmation whether Nokia will be announcing a flagship phone at the upcoming MWC 2017 event.
