What could make zombies on The Walking Dead even more scary? Try zombies with hoverboards. In a sketch for Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, Norman Reedus is in the midst of a supply run, much like the one his character Daryl was on during Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead. In a parking garage, he finds a van full of empty boxes, with one marked “futuristically funky personal transport.”

Then, a horde of walkers on hoverboards descend upon him. “What the hell is this?” he says as Daryl in the filmed sketch where he finds a locked car full of hoverboards. “Two-wheel self-balancing electric scooter? Futuristic funky personal transport? What the f—k?”

During his interview with Kimmel, Reedus discussed that very publicized incident where a fan bit him at a convention.

“We took a picture, right? She started off—she came out and said, ‘Sometimes I like to pretend we’re married.’ And I went, ‘Oh, OK. Cool.’ And to tell you the truth I was so tired at the point I didn’t really realize she said,” Reedus explained. And then she started shaking and howling, as a werewolf does, and “came down and bit me on the breast, the chest,” and then she howled again.

“I kind of went, ‘Ow,’ and Michael Rooker was there and he went, ‘What the f—k was that?’ And then a couple of nice officers tackled her to the ground. She was escorted out and she came outside and she goes, ‘What happened?’ And then they said, ‘Ma’am you just bit Norman,’ and she goes, ‘I did?’”

“This is the next world.” Catch up on Sunday’s #TWD NOW – link in bio.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead portrays life in the weeks and months following a zombie apocalypse. Led by police officer Rick Grimes, his family and a group of other survivors find themselves constantly on the move in search of a safe and secure home. But the pressure each day to stay alive sends many in the group to the deepest depths of human cruelty, and Rick discovers that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be more deadly than the zombies walking among them.

A lot of Norman’s portrayal of the character in the first season inspired all the writers to do what we did with him in the second season. We love writing him and end up doing cool stuff with him.” The drama has evolved into the highest-rated in cable history, smashing all previous records.[9] Reedus was nominated for a 2012 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Dixon.
