Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Confirms company Will Lay Off 336 workers
In an e mail to all staff, Dorsey demonstrated greatest cuts will come from the company’s product and engineering groups.
Eight days after being named Twitter’s permanent CEO, Jack Dorsey verified a record from Re/code closing week that the company could be decreasing its personnel.

“So we now have made an extremely tricky choice: we plan to phase methods with as much as 336 people from across the company,” writes Dorsey, “Twitter will go to nice lengths to care for each and every particular person by offering generous exit applications and help discovering a new job.”
Dorsey’s email says Twitter’s product and engineering groups would undergo the “most important structural changes,” with the remainder of the group to be streamlined in parallel.
“We really feel strongly that Engineering will move a lot quicker with a smaller and nimbler group, while remaining the biggest proportion of our personnel,” writes Dorsey.
