Microsoft Bug Lands Emails In Gmail Spam Folder: Reports | DeviceDaily.com

A Microsoft Windows 10 bug is causing emails to end up in the Gmail spam folder, reports state.

The May 28 update has broken the Gmail integration, Beta News writes. In some instances, incoming emails simply disappear.

“I have noticed that when I respond to emails, the email I send disappear and cannot be found in sent items, outbox, bin, spam, or anywhere actually,” one user writes, according to MSPoweruser.” It appears that it is automatically deleted and erased from the server.”

An advisory from MSPoweruser says that the best workaround is to “remove the Gmail account from the Mail app then re-add it manually via the Other Account POP/IMAP route using the IMAP setting described in Gmail help,” according to Beta News.

Users can also change their Google security settings to allow less secure apps — like Windows Mail App. Without that, the Windows might be blocked from conducting some tasks, Mspoweruser says.
