Independent digital agency Mod Op released its first commercial spot that highlights the challenges companies face with the speed of advancements in artificial intelligence.

The challenges highlighted in the video range from the company’s board pressuring the adoption of AI’s emerging features to finding the funds to make it all work. It’s all about taming the “wild beast” they’ve identified as AI.

To a snappy beat, the campaign starts out by saying: “Figuring out AI can be a real mindf*ck. Let’s talk about it.” Different employees call attention to specific challenges, such as “the CEO wants to know how you’re going to add AI to everyone of your products.”

The outcome of the campaign is: “don’t just ride the beast, tame it,” domesticate it. The goal is to give companies “an unfair advantage against the competition.”

Mod Op says it has been helping companies with “complex transformation for more than 30 years.” It supports companies including Microsoft, Barnes & Noble, Viacom, and Warner Music Group.

In July, Mod Op made its largest acquisition, the Canadian creative digital agency Evans Hunt. The goal–continue its push into AI services and creative offerings. Evans Hunt brought specialties in web development such as user interface and design in the travel, energy and telecom sectors.

The tagline for Evans Hunt’s website is: “Open Minded. Customer Focused.”

Experts say AI can improve ad campaign performance through audience targeting, predicting outcomes, real-time optimization, automating processes, ad creation and providing insights.

Remember when programmatic moved into advertising and completely took over processes? Think about AI the same way.
